Individual Counseling

  • Much of my work centers on women’s emotional health through pregnancy, postpartum, and the many identity shifts that come with motherhood. I support clients experiencing intrusive thoughts, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, numbness, perfectionism, and the quiet guilt that often goes unseen.

  • I also work with individuals, both men and women facing social anxiety, general anxiety, depression, isolation, identity shifts, school or workplace stress, and family conflict. Together, we build self‑trust, strengthen communication, and create healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

  • I proudly support LGBTQ+ clients and strive to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where you can show up as your authentic self.

Couples/Family Counseling

  • With couples and families, I help improve communication, emotional understanding, unmet needs, parenting challenges, and relationship connection. My style blends practical tools with a calm, relational presence so sessions feel safe, structured, and genuinely helpful.

About Me

I’m Rachel Austin, a licensed therapist, mother of 2, and owner of LUMA a counseling service in Oklahoma.

I began my therapy journey in 2016 after earning my Master’s degree, working in inpatient settings with children, teens, adults, and families. Later, as director of a Partial Hospitalization Program, I supported school‑age children and their families within the school system. After experiencing postpartum anxiety and depression myself, I found a deep passion for helping women through pregnancy and postpartum seasons. I created Luma with a larger vision in mind, but for now, in my current season of life, I offer virtual sessions throughout Oklahoma, providing compassionate support in a way that feels flexible, comfortable and accessible.
